You cannot resist the lure of looking down on yourself in the mirror of the rain-slicked lake. Though the image is duller than in days gone by, you still bask in your glow. And we look expectantly at you, naively hoping for a warm look, a hug, a kiss. “The summer romance is over” mockingly murmur the leaves that have fallen underfoot. Shh…, no need to remind it, I know it always ends. And I'm not the least bit sad about it. Because I'm falling in love again. With autumn.
